About Lisa Chaney
Lisa has lectured and taught on the history of art and literature, has made TV and radio broadcasts on the history of culture, and reviewed and written for journals and newspapers, including the Sunday Times, The Spectator and the Independent.
Her biography of Elizabeth David – the first – was published in 1998 to critical acclaim. This was followed by a major biography of J.M. Barrie, which received further plaudits.
Lisa’s most recent book is a life of Coco Chanel, which was published in October 2011 in the UK (Fig Tree, Penguin) and in November 2011 in the USA (Viking Books).
